Rescue Groups

ACC partners with many local, regional and national rescue groups.

The rescue groups listed below have submitted applications to ACC and are authorized to adopt animals from us.  These groups also assist us by caring for animals that have special needs and would otherwise not find a home.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank these groups for their continued support and encourage you to contact them if you cannot find the type of pet you are looking for on our website.

If you are the owner/founder/or part of a rescue group and would like to become a certified rescue group partner with ACC, and on adoptcharlotte.org as well as in our list below, go to the Rescue Partner Animal Portal page. We'd love to partner with you!

Other Rescue Groups We work with:

Carolina Waterfowl Rescue: this is a non-profit organization that rescues and rehabs waterfowl birds but also takes in so much more. Farm animals (birds, pigs, ect) and small pets (lizards, rabbits, etc).

Carolina Wildlife Conservation Center: This amazing organization provides care to injured, orphaned, ill and displaced native wildlife. They preserve wildlife through rescue, rehabilitation, and release. Their mission is to create a world where people and wildlife live in productive harmony.

Fairytale Farm Rescue This is a local rescue that cares for small animals and provides them with the necessary medical treatment, rehabilitation, and love they need to thrive. They take in rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats, etc. They also work to educate the community about animal welfare.
