City of Charlotte announces Thanksgiving holiday service changes
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Nov. 21, 2016) – Charlotte city residents will see changes to usual city services during the Thanksgiving holiday. All city and county offices will be closed Nov. 24 and 25.
Some changes include:
Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS)
On Thanksgiving Day, buses, trains and the streetcar will operate on a Sunday schedule.
On Friday, Nov. 25, buses, trains and the streetcar will operate on a Saturday schedule. The CATS Pass Sales & Information Office and Call Center will be closed both days.
CharMeck 311
CharMeck 311 will be closed Nov. 24 and 25, 2016.
CharMeck 311's normal hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Outside of regular business hours, callers can report water, sewer, storm water and animal emergencies via an automated service that dispatches assistances. You can also make many service requests online 24/7 >>
Please call 911 for any emergencies.
Solid Waste Services
Trash and recycling will not be picked up on Thanksgiving Day. Thursday collections will be picked up on Friday, and Friday collections will be picked up on Saturday.
Animal Care and Control
Animal Care and Control will be closed on Nov. 24 and 25.
