Charlotte Storm Water Services’ Surface Water Quality Program works year-round to protect and improve the water quality of thousands of miles of streams and numerous acres of lakes, ponds and wetlands. Now, the organization has a prestigious award to show for it.

Earlier this month, Charlotte Storm Water Services won the National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure “Overall Performance” award in the Large Municipality category. The Water Environment Federation announced the award during their annual national conference. Storm Water Services also received the “Gold Level” designation in the innovation and project management categories.

The National Municipal Stormwater and Green Infrastructure Awards program honors stormwater agencies that meet and exceed local and national ordinances put in place to ensure our waterways are as clean as possible.

Additional information about the award is available at the Water Environment Federation website and watch the video.
