Charlotte, N.C. – (Sunday, February 5, 2023) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are conducting an investigation into shots fired inside Northlake Mall in the North Division.
On Sunday, February 5, 2023, at approximately 1:48 p.m., officers responded to a discharged firearm call for service in the 6800 block of Northlake Mall Drive. Upon arrival, North Division officers quickly secured the scene inside the mall. Officers were able to determine that a single gunshot was fired during a dispute between two subjects. At this time, it appears that no one was injured during this isolated incident.
Detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD's Operations Command and MEDIC also responded.
