LYFT Rider Health Safety Program

Charlotte Area Transit System takes providing and improving our region’s mobility options seriously. In 2018, CATS and Lyft partnered to implement our First Mile/Last Mile Program to provide even more mobility options for our riders, allowing them to make further connections to their destinations through Lyft rides from LYNX Blue Line stations throughout the northern corridor.

With our health on all our minds now more than ever, we wanted to let you know about the steps Lyft has taken to help protect riders as they take advantage of the CATS First Mile/Last Mile Program.

Before using Lyft, every rider and driver will be required to self-certify in the LYFT app that they will wear a face covering throughout the ride, are COVID-19 symptom-free, and will follow CDC and local guidelines related to COVID-19.

Anyone who does not agree to these commitments will be unable to request a ride or drive with Lyft.

CATS encourages the use of face masks and is providing a cloth face covering to customers.  Riders can pick one up at the CATS Pass Sales and Information Booth located inside the Charlotte Transportation Center at Pavilion C.  Masks are available one per customer while supplies last.  Customer Service is open 5:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. Monday – Friday and 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. on the weekends.
