CATS Public Outreach Meetings - Routes 40x, 46x, 52x, 64x, 65x, & 74x

Routes 40x, 46x, 52x, 64x, 65x, & 74x

CATS Public Outreach Meetings at Main Library Uptown & the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center

CATS will be hosting public outreach meetings on Tuesday, August 1 2017, and Wednesday, August 2 2017 to discuss the upcoming October service change. If adopted, the routes 40x, 46x, 52x, 64x, 65x, & 74x would be rerouted through Uptown to address anticipated delays as a result of the Independence busway closure. CATS is exploring two options for Uptown routing. The first option would have inbound buses travel from N. Davidson to 4th Street, and would then continue to S. Church Street (near the Duke Energy building). Outbound trips would depart from N. College Street between W. Stonewall and E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd and would then continue north to John Belk Freeway.

The second option would have inbound buses travel from N. Davidson to E. 4th Street and continue to Gateway Village. Outbound trips would leave from Gateway Village via 4th Street and would continue on S. Graham Street. Buses would then travel down W. Stonewall Street before continuing north on N. College Street to John Belk Freeway.

Routing outside of Uptown for both options would remain unchanged.

The public outreach meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 1 at the Main Library Uptown, and Wednesday, August 2 at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (room 270/271). The meeting formats will be open house, where attendees may drop in between 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM. CATS encourages riders and community members to attend.
