CATS Public Meeting at the Main Public Library
Routes 40X, 46X, 52X, 64X, 65X, and 74X
Proposed June Service Change for Independence Busway Construction
In 2017, Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) expects the Independence Boulevard Busway to close for construction. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) plans to convert the busway to a reversible Express Lane shared toll-paying motorists. In developing alternatives to accommodate this construction, CATS may detour how routes access Uptown, as well as reduce routing within Uptown.
CATS wants your feedback and encourages transit customers and interested members of the community to visit the food court area of the Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC) during any of the below times. CATS staff will be there to answer questions and discuss proposed changes. Maps of the new route proposals will be at the CTC, and can also be found online at ridetransit.org.
Public Meeting will be held in the lower-level auditorium of the Main Library in Uptown Charlotte. The meeting format is an open house, where attendees may drop between 11:30am to 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday, March 7, 2017, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Main Public Library, 310 North Tryon Street (entrance on East Fifth Street).
