Community Meeting
Planning for Expected Barringer Drive Bridge Closure
Routes 25 and 30
On Thursday, February 16th, CATS will join the communities of Clanton Park, Westover Hills, and Reid Park/Arbor Glen for a public outreach meeting at the Dorothy Waddy Pavilion at Clanton Park from 6:30pm-7:30pm. CATS will discuss the possible impacts that the Barringer Drive bridge closure will have on the Route 25 Clanton-Midtown. CATS received notification that the Barringer Drive bridge will close in late Summer 2017 for repairs. The bridge will remain closed for approximately nine months. As a result of the closure of the Barringer Drive bridge, the Route 25 will be modified, and possibly the Route 30 to mitigate construction detours.
CATS and the community are jointly hosting this public information meeting to receive feedback on proposed detour plans. CATS wants your feedback and encourages transit customers, individuals employed in the area, and members of the community to attend any of the below area meetings to ask questions and learn more about the proposed changes.
