R.E.A.C.H. - Rebuilding Opportunities in Construction Program


Charlotte, N.C. (Monday, June 7, 2021) - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Community Engagement Division is excited to offer a free  Respect Engage Accountability Character Honesty (R.E.A.C.H.) Rebuilding Opportunities in Construction (R.O.C.) Summer Camp Program.

This six-week course will give young ladies who are 15 to 17-years-old a chance to participate in character development training, technical education and career readiness opportunities. The mission of the R.E.A.C.H. – R.O.C Summer Camp is to help mentees reach their full potential through vocational, holistic education and empowerment. The program is designed to expose mentees to career opportunities found in the carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and construction management fields.  In addition, the mentees will receive life skills from Self-Talk Consulting PLLC, hands-on technical training and overall enrichment from summer camp activities.

The R.E.A.C.H. – R.O.C. Summer Day Camp will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church Campus (333 Jeremiah Blvd) on the dates listed below.  If you know of a young lady between the ages of 15 and 17-years-old that could benefit from our summer camp experience, please have the parent/guardian/caretaker contact Detective Faye Strother at 704-301-8594 or nstrother@cmpd.org to sign-up.
