Charlotte, N.C. – (Thursday, February 2, 2023) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Missing Persons Unit are requesting the public's assistance in locating 85-year-old Phillip Hammond.
Mr. Hammond was last seen shortly before 7:00 p.m. leaving his residence along Sardis Road. Mr. Hammond was driving a black 2019 Nissan Altima, (NC License Plate: JKY-1228). Mr. Hammond's vehicle was sighted around Hwy 51 near US-74 in Matthews, NC.
Mr. Hammond was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and white sneakers. He has white hair, balding with a comb over on top.
Mr. Hammond suffers from cognitive impairment and a Silver Alert has been issued.
Anyone with information about Mr. Phillip Hammond is asked to call 911 immediately.
