Public's Assistance Requested in Crimes Against Children Investigation

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Crimes Against Children Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a subject of interest who has been involved in suspicious activity around school bus stops in the South Charlotte

​A subject described as a heavy-set, middle-aged, bald Hispanic male has been reported driving past school bus stops and engaging with middle school aged females. The subject's vehicle is reported to be a light blue/gray sedan, and possibly a Tesla.

The CMPD, the Pineville Police Department and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Police Department are working together to conduct this investigation. The complaint numbers for these incidents are 20230113-1505-02 and 20230113-1457-00.

Anyone with information on these incidents or the subject's whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
