Public’s Assistance Requested in Identifying Armed Robbery Suspect

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying an armed robbery suspect in the Hickory Grove Division.

Charlotte, N.C. – (Friday, January 20, 2023) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit are requesting the public's assistance in identifying an armed robbery suspect in the Hickory Grove Division.

On Thursday, January 19, 2023, at approximately 1:16 p.m., the suspect pictured below, entered the Walgreens in the 7100 block of E. W.T. Harris Boulevard and walked to the pharmacy area. The suspect demanded property from the pharmacy and left the store on foot with the property.

 

The suspect is described as a black male, wearing a gray hoodie, maroon jogging pants and white sneakers.  He is described as thin, approximately six feet tall and had what appeared to be a cross tattoo on his forehead between his eyes.  He also appears to have a tattoo on his left hand.

 
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing. As additional information develops, it will be released by the CMPD's Public Affairs Office.
