Why: Warmer weather often brings an increased chance of severe weather. Each year, North Carolina recognizes the first week of March as Severe Weather Preparedness Week. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management will use this opportunity to share information about severe weather, including flood safety tips and how to sign up for emergency notification through CharMeck Alerts.
