Charlotte, N.C. - (Sunday, March 29, 2020) - The victim in this case has been identified as Mario Racheim Reynolds, DOB: 11/27/1982.  His family has been notified of his death.

Charlotte, N.C. - (Saturday, March 28, 2020) - Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation near the 2200 block of Irma Street in the Metro Division.

On Saturday, March 28, 2020, at around 9:00 p.m., officers responded to a shooting near the 2200 block of Irma Street.  When they arrived, they located an adult male victim with an apparent gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to the hospital by MEDIC with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence.  Representatives from the CMPD's Operations Command, Victim Services, CFD, MEDIC and the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Homicide Prosecution Team also assisted.
