Charlotte, N.C. – (Saturday, December 10, 2022) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation near the 100 block of Tom Hunter Road in the North Tryon Division.
On Saturday, December 10, 2022, shortly after 10:00 pm, North Tryon Division officers responded to shots fired call for service in the 100 block of Tom Hunter Road in the North Tryon Division. Upon arrival, officers did not locate any victims. A short time later, the victim arrived at the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD's Operations Command, the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Homicide Prosecution Team responded to the call.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing. As additional information develops, it will be released by the CMPD's Public Affairs Office.
