Case Update: Homicide Investigation in the Metro Division

Charlotte, N.C. – (Tuesday, June 22, 2021) Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit have charged Deshawn Williamson, DOB: 09/13/1995, for the murder of Noah Deryan Feaster.

 

As a result of their continued investigation, Homicide Unit Detectives identified Williamson as a suspect in this case. On June 22, 2021, Detectives with CMPD's Violent Crime Apprehension Team (VCAT) apprehended Williamson without incident.  Williamson was transported to the Law Enforcement Center for an interview with Homicide Detectives. Following the interview, Williamson was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office and charged with First Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by Felon.

Charlotte, N.C. – (Friday, February 19, 2021) – The victim in this case has been identified as Noah Deryan Feaster, DOB: 06/15/1997.  His family has been notified of his death.

Charlotte, N.C. – (Friday, February 19, 2021) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit are investigating a homicide which occurred near the 1900 block of Berryhill Road in the Metro Division.

 

On February 19, 2021 at about 3 a.m., Metro Division officers responded to the 1900 block of Berryhill Road after receiving reports of shots being fired at this location.  When officers arrived they located one subject who had been shot and was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic.

  

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence.  Representatives from the CMPD Operations Command, Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Homicide Prosecution Team, CFD, and MEDIC also assisted.
