Charlotte, N.C. – (Thursday, September 9, 2021) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit have charged Bryan Abrahan Feliz-Ramirez, DOB: 05/31/1992, for his involvement in a recent murder.
On September 5, 2021, at approximately 10:40 p.m., officers in the Central Division responded to the 200 block of N. Tryon Street in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, the victim stated that an unknown suspect cut him with a weapon resulting in injury. For additional information about this case, please refer to the report: 20210905-2241-01.
Shortly after 11:30 a.m., on September 6, 2021, Metro Division officers responded to the 2700 block of Tuckaseegee Road in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who stated that he was assaulted with a bladed weapon by an unknown suspect. Later that same afternoon, officers with the Hickory Grove Division responded to an urgent care facility located in the 5100 block of Albemarle Road in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim had been stabbed by an unknown suspect in the 6300 block of Albemarle Road. The victim, identified as William Burnham, DOB: 05/24/1994, was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. From information and evidence gathered, detectives with the Hickory Grove and Metro Divisions identified the suspect in all three incidents as Feliz-Ramirez. On September 7, 2021, Feliz-Ramirez was interviewed by Hickory Grove detectives. At the conclusion of the interview, he was arrested and transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office. At that time, he was charged with Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, and two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury.
On September 8, 2021, Burham succumbed to his injuries sustained in the assault and was pronounced deceased. His family has been notified of his death.
This case is now being classified as a homicide investigation. Homicide detectives have obtained an additional warrant against Feliz-Ramirez for Murder that will be served while he is still in custody.
