Development team to answer Eastland Mall rezoning questions in live Q&A

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (May 6, 2020) – The City of Charlotte will host a live, virtual question and answer session on Wednesday, May 13, at 1 p.m. regarding the rezoning of the former Eastland Mall site. The Q&A will be a continuation of the community meeting for the rezoning petition.

The Q&A will be held live on the city's Facebook and YouTube pages. The development team will answer rezoning questions submitted in advance and take a few questions from the Facebook and YouTube livestream comments. A video of the community meeting presentation is available online. After reviewing the video, residents and media are invited to submit their questions to by 5 p.m. on May 12.

Under the city's rezoning schedule, a public hearing about the Eastland Mall rezoning petition could be held on May 18 with a vote by Charlotte City Council in June at the earliest.
