Charlotte, N.C. – (Thursday, September 2, 2021) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit are conducting a death investigation in North Division.
Around 10:00 a.m. on September 2, 2021, officers responded to an assist medic call for service concerning a person deceased at the 2600 block of Plum Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male and adult female that were pronounced deceased by medic.
As is standard procedure for any sudden or unexpected death, the CMPD's Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct the investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. CMPD's Operations Command, Victim Services and MEDIC also assisted.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing. As additional information develops, it will be released by the CMPD's Public Affairs Office.
