City of Charlotte offices will close for Memorial Day

CHARLOTTE, NC (May 25, 2017) – City of Charlotte offices will close Monday, May 29, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

Most city services will operate as normal on Monday, including Solid Waste Services collection and recycling pickup. Carts need to be placed curbside by 6:30 a.m. on your collection day. Please allow hot charcoal to cool before bagging and placing in your rollout cart.

CharMeck 311 offices will be closed Monday, May 29. CharMeck 311's normal hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Outside regular business hours, callers can report water, sewer, stormwater and animal issues via an automated service that dispatches assistance. Many service requests can be made online 24/7 here. Please call 911 for any emergencies.

On Monday, the Charlotte Area Transit System bus routes and the LYNX Blue Line will operate on a Sunday service schedule. Express bus services will not operate on Memorial Day, with the exception of the 590 Airport Connector Northlake and 591 Airport Connector Archdale, which will operate according to their regular schedules.
