The victim in this case has been identified as Calvin Haines, DOB: 09/18/1994. His family has been notified of his death.

This is an ongoing, active investigation.  As further information develops, it will be released by CMPD Public Affairs.

Wednesday, June 12, 2019,

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation at Graham and 6th Street in the Central Division.  The call for service came in at 12:52 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. 

Central Division Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service.  Upon arrival, officers located three males with gunshot wounds in the stairwell of an apartment building at 305 N. Graham Street.   One victim was pronounced deceased on scene.  Two victims were transported to Atrium Health Carolina's Medical Center.  An additional male victim later showed up at Novant hospital with a gunshot wound.  The deceased victim's identity will be released pending family notification. 

Detectives with the Homicide Unit responded to the scene and are currently canvassing the area to determine whether there are any additional witnesses to this incident. 

Crime Scene Search has responded to the call for service to process the scene and collect physical evidence.  Representatives of the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Homicide Prosecution Team, Victim Services, RTCC, Medic, CFD and Operations Command responded to the scene.
