Case Update: Homicide Investigation in the Westover Division

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the 7000 block of South Boulevard in the Westover Division.

The victim in this case has been identified as Antonio Brimmer (DOB: 06/10/1992).  Mr. Brimmer's family has been notified of his death.

 

All persons involved in this case have been identified and interviewed.  The investigation will continue and upon completion, the case will be prepared and presented to the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Office for review.

 

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing. As additional information develops, it will be released by the CMPD's Public Affairs Office. Homicide Investigation in the Westover Division

 

Charlotte, N.C. – (Monday, November 28, 2022) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the 7000 block of South Boulevard in the Westover Division.

 

On Monday, November 28, shortly before 8:00 p.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service at a McDonald's in the 7000 block of South Boulevard.  Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with a gunshot wound. MEDIC pronounced the victim deceased on scene.

 

The initial investigation determined two armed individuals were involved in an altercation at the establishment. The victim was struck by gunfire. No additional individuals are being sought in this case.

 

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD's Operations Command, Victim Services, CFD, MEDIC and the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Homicide Prosecution Team also assisted.
