Charlotte, N.C. – (Monday, November 7, 2022) – The deceased victim in this case has been identified as Daymon Christopher Holley-Long (DOB: 08/10/1988).
The victim's family has been notified of his death.

Homicide Investigation in the North Tryon Division
Charlotte, N.C. – (Monday, November 7, 2022) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the 400 block of Drury Drive in the North Tryon Division.
On Monday, November 7, shortly after 8:30 a.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service in the 400 block of Drury Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject with a gunshot wound. CMPD Officers and Medic immediately began rendering aid. Shortly after, Medic pronounced the subject deceased.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD's Operations Command, Victim Services, CFD, Medic and the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Homicide Prosecution Team also assisted.
