Case Update: Homicide Investigation in the North Division

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the 9300 block of Center Lake Drive in the North Division.

Charlotte, N.C. – (Tuesday, March 14, 2023) – As a result of the continued investigation, detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit have identified and arrested two suspects in connection to murder of Jamielle Lamar Clements.  

 

On Thursday, December 8, 2022, Keenan Lavar Doliveira (DOB: 01/29/1986), was arrested in the state of New York.  The arrest was accomplished due to a collaborative effort involving CMPD's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT), FBI Charlotte and FBI New York.  The suspect will be extradited back to the Mecklenburg County in the coming weeks.

 

Prior to Mr. Doliveira's arrest, on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, homicide detectives arrested Justice Davis (DOB: 12/25/1994) and charged her with Felony Accessory to Murder After the Fact.

 

The victim's next of kin has been notified of the arrests.

Homicide Investigation in the North Division

 

Charlotte, N.C. – (Wednesday, October 5, 2022) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the 9300 block of Center Lake Drive in the North Division.

 

On Tuesday, October 4, 2022, shortly after 11:00 p.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service at the Fox & Hound restaurant in the 9300 block of Center Lake Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim with a gunshot wound. Medic responded and transported the victim to Atrium Main with life-threatening injuries. The victim was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. The initial investigation revealed that a physical altercation took place inside the restaurant before the shooting occurred outside.

 

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence.  Representatives from CMPD's Operations Command, Victim Services, Charlotte Fire and the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Homicide Prosecution Team also assisted.
