Charlotte, N.C. – (Tuesday, March 7, 2023) – As a result of the continued investigation, detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit have identified a suspect for his role in the homicide of Addison Ray Lipscomb.
On Monday, March 6, 2023, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Keith Lamar Campbell (DOB: 10/09/1984), for the following:
- Murder (1st degree)
- Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Mr. Campbell is currently in the custody of the Mountain View Correctional Institution in Spruce Pine, NC, on unrelated charges. He will be served with these active warrants and transferred to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office upon completion of his active sentence.
The victim's next of kin has been notified.

Homicide Investigation in the Freedom Division
Charlotte, N.C. – (Wednesday, June 8, 2022) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation near the 6400 block of Tuckaseegee Road in the Freedom Division.
Shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon with injury call for service in the 6400 block of Tuckaseegee Road. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Medic pronounced the victim deceased on scene.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD's Operations Command, Victim Services, the Mecklenburg County District Attorney's Homicide Prosecution Team, and the Charlotte Fire Department also assisted.
