Case Update: Assault with a Deadly Weapon Investigation in the North Division

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are conducting an assault with a deadly weapon investigation at Northlake Mall in the North Division.

Charlotte, N.C. – (Friday, December 16, 2022) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have arrested three suspects in connection to this case.

 

On Thursday, December 15, 2022, the following suspects were arrested and charged with the following:

 

  • Xavior Grant Alexander (DOB: 10/31/2003) – charged w/ Attempted Murder & Assault with Deadly Weapon
  • Jadah Van Williams (DOB: 06/15/2001) – charged with assault
  • 17 year-old juvenile – charged with assault

Assault with a Deadly Weapon Investigation in the North Division

 

Charlotte, N.C. – (Thursday, December 15, 2022) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department are conducting an assault with a deadly weapon investigation at Northlake Mall in the North Division.

 

On Thursday, December 15, shortly before 3:00 p.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon with injury call for service in the 6800 block of Northlake Mall Drive. Upon arrival, officers located two victims with gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to the hospital where their injuries were determined to be non-life threatening. A suspect was taken into custody at the scene and a firearm was recovered.

 

Detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD's Operations Command, Charlotte Fire, and MEDIC also assisted.
