2023 Pass Delay

Due to a paper shortage and ongoing supply chain issues spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic, CATS will be unable to provide physical, printed CATS passes for January 2023 until late December. We apologize for this inconvenience and we are working diligently with our pass supplier to deliver CATS passes as soon as possible.

Customers can always purchase an electronic pass on the CATS-Pass app, which is available for free download on iPhone and Android devices. The CATS-Pass app allows riders to seamlessly pay for their trips and receive passes through the app. Riders paying with cash can visit the CATS customer service booth at the Charlotte Transportation Center and provide the agent with cash that will be instantly added to their CATS-Pass accounts. Bus and rail riders can simply show their CATS-Pass app electronic passes to CATS bus operators or fare inspection officers on rail.

As the situation continues and changes, we will communicate and provide transparent information to our customers.
