CHARLOTTE, N.C. (October 12, 2020) – The City of Charlotte’s Music Venue Grant application is now available. The application period runs today through Friday, October 23 at Noon.
Eligible venues will receive a nine-month subsidy towards rent or mortgage assistance.
Application Requirements
Provide active signed lease, recent mortgage statement or evidence of property ownership.
Mecklenburg County Food and Beverage form for August or September 2020.
Provide evidence of live ticketed event sales for October-December 2019.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must operate a music venue within
Charlotte’s city limits.
Must provide evidence of live performance history and ticket sales.
Must be currently closed under the Governor’s Executive Order.
Applicants cannot currently be engaged in bankruptcy proceedings.
Applicant business must be included in the Mecklenburg County database as having paid the Food and Beverage Tax in 2019, as well as having submitted this form to Mecklenburg County in August or September of 2020, even if the submission shows $0 revenue.
If an applicant’s property is listed in Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department’s Nuisance Abatement Program, the City reserves the right to decline to issue a grant, following a review of calls for service to CMPD in connection with such property.
