City of Charlotte announces holiday service changes
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Dec. 22, 2016) – Charlotte city residents may see changes to usual city services during the upcoming holidays. All city and county offices will be closed Dec. 26 and 27.
Some changes include:
Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS)
Christmas Day, December 25 & December 26
Buses, trains and the streetcar will operate a Sunday schedule. The CATS Pass Sales & Information Office and Call Center will be closed December 25-26.
December 27
Buses, trains and the streetcar will operate a normal weekday schedule. The CATS Pass Sales & Information Office and Call Center will be open 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
CharMeck 311
CharMeck 311 will be closed Dec. 26 and 27, 2016.
CharMeck 311's normal hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Outside of regular business hours, callers can report water, sewer, storm water and animal emergencies via an automated service that dispatches assistances. You can also make many service requests online 24/7 at http://charlottenc.gov/services-site/Pages/EmeraldRequest.aspx

Solid Waste Services
Trash and recycling will not be collected on Dec. 26. All collections will be pushed back one day with Friday collections taking place on Saturday, Dec. 31.
