‚ÄčInternational Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners Meeting

The annual International Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners (IESBO) meeting aims to bring the best resources to establish and grow small businesses in Charlotte's international community. Join us to explore different topics and tools to build a better business with experts and mentors.

Each year the meeting will focus on one industry or business theme. Past meeting themes include construction, exporting, and running a restaurant. The meeting includes a keynote speaker on the main topic and 3 breakout workshops to help business owners. Each attendee will be able to choose two workshops at the meeting. Workshops range from creating a business plan to talent attraction and retention.

Starting and Growing a Business

Anytime entrepreneurs and small business owners look for resources to navigate the process of starting and running a business, they can turn to the Charlotte Business Resources portal. The portal represents a community-wide collaborative effort to provide relevant business resources and information. The City of Charlotte also encourages small, minority, and women owned firms in City to do business with the City. Minority, Women, and Small Business Enterprises (MWSBEs) can find more information about the certification process through the Charlotte Business INCulsion program.  If you have other questions about business needs, check out the information provided by Economic Development or email their staff.
