City and County offices
The City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Offices are closed on recognized holidays (see below).

Customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The call center is closed on weekends and City-recognized holidays (see below).

Outside of regular business hours, callers can report water, sewer, storm water and animal emergencies via an automated service that dispatches assistance. You can also make service requests online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at CharlotteNC.gov/Services.
