Public's Assistance in Identifying Child

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Person Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying an unaccompanied 3 to 4-year-old child and locating family members.
The unaccompanied child was located by a citizen around 10:00 a.m. near the 5100 block of Brooktree Drive. The child was found walking from the direction of Toddville Road wearing a white t-shirt and pull-up. The child advised that his first name is “Cane,” unknown spelling.
Detectives are asking anyone that knows this child, or anyone with information on the identity of this child or his family, to please contact 9-1-1 immediately.
