Public's Assistance Requested in Missing Person Investigation

Charlotte, N.C. – (Thursday, April 17, 2025) – Mr. Harris has been located and reunited with his family.

Charlotte, N.C. – (Tuesday, April 15, 2025) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Person Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 74-year-old Thomas Edward Harris.

Mr. Harris was last seen on April 15, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m. at his residence located in the 7700 Block of Rockland Dr. in the University City Division. Mr. Harris is believed to be on foot. Mr. Harris is believed to be wearing a grey jacket with a navy-blue striped shirt and glasses.

Mr. Harris has been diagnosed with dementia and diabetes.

Anyone with information on Mr. Harris’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
