Public's Assistance Requested in Missing Person Investigation

UPDATE: Carty returned home unharmed.

 

Charlotte, N.C. – (Friday, September 20, 2024) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Missing Person Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in locating 77-year-old Lenora Carty.

Carty was last seen at her family’s residence in the 6000 block of Vizcaya Ct. wearing a red long-sleeved shirt, blue pants, and gray/green hat, and carrying a black purse.

Carty is diagnosed with a cognitive impairment and may be lost or confused. Carty is from Trinidad and may not be familiar with the area.

Anyone with information on Carty’s whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 immediately.
