Charlotte, N.C. – (Wednesday, August 14, 2024) – The victim in this case has been identified as Aryan Jaswal, 17. The victim’s next of kin has been notified of his death.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing. As additional information develops, it will be released by the CMPD’s Public Affairs Office. Homicide Investigation in the South Division
Charlotte, N.C. – (Tuesday, August 13, 2024) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the 14000 block of Wynhollow Downs Lane in the South Division.
On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, shortly after 8:00 a.m., South Division officers responded to a Check the Welfare call for service in the 14000 block of Wynhollow Downs Lane. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim inside of a vehicle. MEDIC pronounced the victim deceased on scene.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from the CMPD’s Operations Command, Victim Services, the Charlotte Fire Department and MEDIC also assisted.
