Case Update: Homicide Investigation in the North Tryon Division

Charlotte, N.C. – (Monday, June 24, 2024) – As a result of the continued investigation, detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified and charged an additional suspect in connection to the murder of Howard Page.
On Thursday, July 11th, Andre Pool, 25, was arrested by CMPD’s Crime Gun Suppression Team (CGST) and interviewed by homicide detectives. At the conclusion of the interview Pool was charged with:
Murder (1st Degree)
Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon
The victim’s next of kin has been notified of the arrest.

The juvenile suspect has been charged with the following: Murder, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and Motor Vehicle Theft.
The victim’s next of kin has been notified of the arrest.

Homicide Investigation in the North Tryon Division
Charlotte, N.C. – (Thursday, June 20, 2024) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the 4300 block of Old Interstate Road in the North Tryon Division.
On Thursday, June 20, 2024, shortly before 4 a.m., North Tryon Division officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon with injury call for service in the 4300 block Old Interstate Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim with apparent gunshot wounds. The Charlotte Fire Department and MEDIC also responded to the scene. MEDIC transported the victim to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The victim was later pronounced deceased.
Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD’s Operations Command, Victim Services, Charlotte Fire Department and MEDIC also assisted.
