Case Update: Homicide Investigation in the Central Division

Charlotte, N.C. – (Wednesday, July 10, 2024) As a result of the continued investigation, detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit have identified three suspects in connection to the murder of Mr. Corey Damoan Robinson and obtained warrants for their arrests.

 

On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, Lasha Lynne Big Eagle, 37 was located and arrested in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  Ms. Eagle has been charged with Obtaining Property by False Pretense and Identity Theft.

 

On Tuesday, Friday, July 5, 2024, Ayyad Faour Sukkar, 24 was located and arrested in Memphis, Tennessee.  Mr. Sukkar has been charged with the following: Murder, Common Law Robbery, Financial Transaction Card Theft and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle.

 

On Tuesday, July 9, 2024, the CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) arrested Tracey Pinnix Sukkar, 50 in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Ms. Sukkar has been charged with Obtaining Property by False Pretense and Identity Theft.

 

Mr. Robinson’s next of kin has been notified of the arrests.

 

The CMPD’s Homicide Unit would like to thank Scottsbluff Police Department (NE), Gering Police Department (NE), Nebraska State Patrol, Scottsbluff County Sheriff’s Office (NE), Western Nebraska Intelligence & Narcotics Group (WING Task Force), FBI North Platte Omaha Division (NE), FBI Memphis Division (TN), Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (NE), Memphis Police Department (TN) and the CMPD’s VCAT for their assistance in the arrests of these suspects.

 

The investigation into this case is active and ongoing. As additional information develops, it will be released by the CMPD’s Public Affairs Office. Homicide Investigation in the Central Division

 

Charlotte, N.C. – (Tuesday, July 2, 2024) – Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit are conducting a homicide investigation in the 500 block of North Graham Street in the Central Division.

 

On Friday, June 14, 2024, at approximately 2:08 p.m., Central Division officers responded to the 500 block of North Graham Street for a check the welfare call for service.  Upon arrival, officer located the victim, Corey Damoan Robinson, 36, deceased on scene. 

 

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene to conduct an investigation, and Crime Scene Search responded to process the scene and collect physical evidence. Representatives from CMPD’s Operations Command, Victim Services and the Charlotte Fire Department also assisted.

 

Upon further investigation into this incident, it has now been classified as a homicide.

 

The victim’s next of kin has been notified of his death.
