On Friday, January 17, 2025, around 9:22 a.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries in the 6800 block of the Plaza. On arrival, officers located a Honda Accord with heavy front-end damage and its driver, Bianca Gebremedhin, 34, and a Ford Transit van driven by Anthony Williams, 34.
MEDIC transported Ms. Gebremedhin to Novant Presbyterian Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and Mr. Williams and his juvenile passenger to Atrium Health Main with non-life-threatening injuries.
