The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation invests in creating a safer community by supporting efforts to pilot new strategies and improve officer safety and effectiveness, while promoting trust in and support for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Established in 2004 by local business and civic leaders, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation works to strengthen CMPD services and to promote public safety in Charlotte. An independent, non-profit 501c3 organization, we dedicate our efforts to assuring safer neighborhoods and highly skilled and equipped police through better technology, education and programming.

We focus our support in building community, providing investments in equipment, technology and training, improving employee moral, increasing employee health, safety and wellness and investing in recruitment and retention. The Foundation plays an integral part in CMPD's crime reduction efforts and is proud to be a fundraising partner for its force. Because of our Foundation members' dedication and support we receive from donors, our citizens and officers share a safer city.
