Placemaking Creatives

Since 2018, the Placemaking Program has maintained a Local Artist Pool for city-led and community-led placemaking work. In 2021, The City of Charlotte expanded this pool to include a wide range of creatives who manage, create, and implement original compositions. This includes creatives who work in mixed media, performance, written and spoken word, video/photography, fabrication, and more. We also opened to the pool to include teams, organizations, and businesses who manage the process of implementing public art and performance.

Looking for a creative to assist with placemaking or programming? With over 70 qualified creatives in our pool, City staff can connect you with the perfect fit for your project. Email Charlotte Lamb, charlotte.lamb@charlottenc.gov, to get connected.
