LYNX Silver Line Project Status
In January 2020, CATS began refining the LYNX Silver Line LPA to maximize benefits and minimize risks. CATS considered many factors during the refinement process, including:
-
Cost
-
Environmental constraints
-
Feedback from the public, resource agencies, and other key stakeholders.
In April 2021, CATS' policy board, the Metropolitan Transit Commission (MTC), approved a refined LPA. Staff continues to move the project forward into more detailed design and environmental review. In October and November 2021, CATS presented proposed refinements to the April 2021 LPA and a proposed phasing strategy for construction of the LYNX Silver Line. The public comment period closed on November 28, 2021. CATS is analyzing public comments and will seek adoption from MTC in January 2022.
