LYNX Silver Line Project Status

In January 2020, CATS began refining the LYNX Silver Line Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) to maximize benefits and minimize risks. CATS considered many factors during the refinement process, including:

• Design and operations• Cost
• Connectivity• Environmental Considerations
• Development opportunities• Feedback from the public and other key stakeholders
On April 28, 2021, CATS' policy board, the Metropolitan Transit Commission (MTC), approved the refined LPA. With a newly adopted alignment, staff will continue to move the project forward into more detailed design and environmental review. Public engagement will continue  as the project develops.

CATS conducted extensive public engagement during the refinement period. To view previous project materials and watch meeting recordings, click on the Archived Project Materials on the right-side tab.

As the light rail design and environmental work continues, the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) study will begin public engagement around the station area planning effort.
