The LYNX Silver Line is a proposed 26-mile light rail project from the City of Belmont in Gaston County,
traveling through Center City into the Town of Matthews, with a proposed terminus in Indian Trail in Union County.
While Spring public meetings have been postponed to observe social distancing, the LYNX Silver Line
project team continues the Pre-Project Development alignment refinement work required to progress the project.
Public engagement of the project also continues. Visit RideTransit.org/LYNXSilverLine to get information and provide feedback on the project. On the website you can view a presentation of the
project, take a survey and signup for a virtual neighborhood meeting with the project team.
A second round of engagement is tentatively planned for Fall 2020 with a focus on proposed project adjustments.
