LYNX Blue Line

LYNX Blue Line

The LYNX Blue Line is the Charlotte region's first light rail service. It is 18.9 miles long and operates from I-485 at South Boulevard to UNC Charlotte’s main campus in University City. With 26 stations, including 11 park and ride locations, the LYNX Blue Line provides a congestion free commute with a consistent travel time. LYNX operates seven days a week.

On Saturday, February 13, 2021, the LYNX Blue Line will adjust its service frequency. The Blue Line will operate every 20 minutes from the beginning of service until 8 p.m. It will then run every 30 minutes until 2 a.m. This schedule will be observed seven days-a-week.

This service adjustment will provide customers with a more consistent schedule from the start of service while allowing CATS to meet the current ridership demand and observing social distancing recommendations.
