CATS Recruitment Incentive

CATS is looking for dynamic people to join Team Charlotte. Several Charlotte Area Transit System positions are eligible for a $2,000 recruitment sign-on bonus* through the department's Recruitment Incentive Program**. Incentives are paid in two equal installments based on the following criteria:

  • First installment of $1,000 will be paid once you are hired by CATS and complete your first full week of employment

  • Second installment of $1,000 will be paid once you complete six months of employment within the specified job class with successful completion of your 90-day probationary period (performance must be satisfactory)

The following positions with the Charlotte Area Transit System are eligible for the recruitment sign-on bonus:

  • Customer Service/Revenue Service Assistant

  • Customer Service/Revenue Service Specialist

  • Customer Service/Revenue Service Senior

  • Equipment Operator I

  • Building Maintenance Assistant

  • Field Operations Supervisor

  • Labor Crew Chief II

  • Rail MOW Maintainer

  • Rail MOW Maintainer Lead

  • Rail MOW Supervisor

  • Office Assistant III – Reservationist ONLY

  • Rail Car Technician

  • Rail Car Technician Lead

  • Rail Operator

  • Rail Track Maintainer

  • Special Transportation Service Operator

  • Transit Maintenance Assistant

  • Operations Supervisor – Chief Controller ONLY

  • Rail Controller
