Charlotte Area Transit System

CATS Senior Sweethearts

The Charlotte Area Transit System invites senior citizens to create colorful Valentine's Day cards to the public to promote the spirit of brotherly and sisterly love. As a Senior Citizen in your community, this is an opportunity to share your creativity and messages of encouragement, positivity, and love to others.

Cards will be displayed on the inside of CATS buses for riders to enjoy on their daily commute.

The Senior Sweethearts artwork will be displayed in lieu of advertisements inside of CATS vehicles

WHY?

Many of Charlotte's Senior Citizens have spent extensive time indoors due to the current health crisis. Our Seniors are the heart of the community. We miss seeing them ride public transit, and we're sure you miss them too! The Senior Sweethearts initiative will allow Senior Citizens to feel more connected to the Charlotte community.

HOW DO I SUBMIT?

Any senior citizen (age 62+) can submit one (1) card. Just print the template at home and create your card using the mediums noted on the template, and then mail it to the address above. Staff will also pick up cards at participating senior

centers.

All cards should be postmarked by January 22, 2021. Please mail all cards to

Attn: Chris Lange, Charlotte Area Transit System, 600 East 4th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202.
