Charlotte City Council adopts Fiscal Year 2020 budget
If you live, visit or work in Charlotte, you use valuable city services every day. These services are made possible through our city budget, which sets how much money we spend and prioritizes our work.
The city is currently working on developing the budget for the next fiscal year which starts on July 1. During this process, city leaders and City Council will discuss proposed expenditures and requests during a series of workshops. The goal is to create a balanced budget. This process uses input from our community and employees to invest in programs that expand jobs, provide housing options and build infrastructure for all of Charlotte to thrive.
City Manager Marcus Jones presented the FY 2018 Proposed Budget and FY 2018 - 2022 Community Investment Plan on Monday, May 1, at 5:00 p.m. to City Council.
