Stewart Creek Tributary 2 Greenway and Stream Enhancement

Storm Water Services will enhance Stewart Creek Tributary 2 in a highly urbanized area of Mecklenburg County.  The project is on hold until FY 2022. For more information about the importance of Mecklenburg County’s stream restoration projects, check out these videos.


  • Repair Eroding Stream Banks 
  • Improve Water Quality
  • Improve Habitat 
  • Reduce the amount of sediment in the water 
  • *This project WILL NOT reduce flooding

Estimated Cost: $175,000*

*includes all costs associated with this project such as planning and design, utility relocation, consultant fees, permits, construction, and landscaping.
