​Road Closure Notice – North Davidson Street between East 26th Street and East 28th Street

  • Starting March 16, this road closure will be in place for 2 months as Storm Water Services replaces aging storm drainage infrastructure. This project includes installation of a large 14-foot-wide box culvert, more than 100 feet long, underneath North Davidson Street.

  • Please use CDOT's interactive street closure map to help plan your route. This information populates closures into the Waze application and is updated daily.

  • Detour Information:

    • Outbound: North Davidson Street to Parkwood Avenue to North Brevard Street to Jordan Place to North Davidson Street
    • Inbound: North Davidson Street to Jordan Place to North Brevard Street to Parkwood Avenue to North Davidson Street

  • Please note a portion of East 27th Street was previously closed in February and will remain closed for the duration of the project.

  • Access to businesses and residences in the area will be maintained.

​The single lane closure is now in place on N. Davidson Street with traffic control flaggers assisting two-way traffic flow.

  • ​A portion of E. 27th Street is closed for the duration of the project. Access to businesses and residences in the area will be maintained. 
  • A single lane closure will be in place on N. Davidson Street with traffic control flaggers assisting two-way traffic flow.
  • In a few weeks, the intersection of N. Davidson/E. 27th streets will close for two months. Electronic message boards will notify drivers a week in advance about the closure and detour. 
  • As construction progresses into mid-2023, the intersection will partially reopen with a single lane closure along N. Davidson Street.

​Overview​

The North Davidson Storm Drainage Improvement Project will replace aging storm drainage infrastructure at the intersection of North Davidson Street and East 27th Street. This project includes installation of a large 14-foot-wide box culvert, more than 100 feet long, underneath North Davidson Street.

Estimated Cost: $3,552,000*

*includes all costs associated with this project such as planning and design, utility relocation, consultant fees, permits, construction, and landscaping.

The project team will manage the project through several phases. Specific work is conducted during each phase and public involvement is emphasized throughout the process. Learn more about project phases.
