This project targets a five-legged intersection controlled by a traffic signal with excessive wait times. The project is located at the five-legged intersection where Tuckaseegee and Berryhill each have two legs, and Thrift has one leg. The project will replace the signalized intersection with a roundabout. Additional project components include crosswalks, sidewalks, planting strips, landscaping and utility relocation.
Right: Rendering for "Tapestry" by Douwe Blumberg, a 19-foot-tall sculpture that will stand in the middle of the roundabout.
